Tyler produced stoneware beads for West Coast bead shops from 1972 until 1977 doing business as The Tyler Bead Co. He returned to designing beads for jewelry of his own design in 1993 working with colored porcelain. In 1995 Tyler designed the sculptural beads on this page using the colored porcelain and micaceous clay.
